Bonding with Your Baby Before Birth

My favorite way to encourage bonding with your unborn child is first to have one quiet time per day when you sit and pay attention to your baby’s movements.

You can learn a lot about their personalities, and get to know how they respond to your voice and touch. Also, playing different types of music to find out what your baby responds to is another positive way to bond.

Lastly, one of my favorite ideas to bond with your baby is to write to them. Use a journal or letters, or even a tape recorder to communicate your hopes, dreams, fears, or thoughts for your unborn child.

What you experience during pregnancy will be different than any other time in your life, so be sure to document it so you can look back and remember all the wishes you had for your child and your delivery.
