Coming from a New York culinary family of restaurateurs and chefs, Stern graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park. Watermelon + Blue Cheese Salad

  • 1 cup Watermelon 1/4″ dice
  • 3 tbsp Blue Cheese Crumbles
  • 1 tbsp Basil Oil
  • 2 tbsp Mint Gastrique
  • 1 cup Local Sunflower Shoots (Earth Alchemy Farms)
  • 1/4 cup Julienne Red Onion
  • Drizzle Aged Balsamic Vinegar

Mint Gastrique Recipe:

  • 1 Part White Wine
  • 1 Part White Wine Vinegar
  • 1 Part Sugar
  • Fresh Mint

add all ingredients in sauce pot and reduce until syrup like consistency
