Bruschetta Chicken Bake

Tick-tock, tick-tock it’s 5 p.m.! Do you know what’s for dinner tonight? While the convenience of fast food is appealing, the health benefits are minimal, and it can quickly become a frequent and unhealthy habit.

By taking a few extra minutes to prepare your food at home, you can set yourself up for health success and enjoy some of the following benefits:

  • Ingredients: Preparing food at home allows you to control the ingredients. Including fresh ingredients, fewer preservatives, additional vegetables, and healthier fats will provide a more nutritious experience.
  • Portion-control: Restaurants often present portions of two or three times the size of what an actual amount of food should be. Cooking at home lets you be in charge of eating without feeling wasteful or pressured into eating more than you want.
  • Weight Loss: Did you know that you could consume all of your recommended daily calories in just one single fast-food restaurant meal? Typically, however, a home-cooked meal will provide significantly fewer calories, allowing you to take control of your caloric intake and, ultimately, your weight.

The good news is that this recipe for a satisfying Bruschetta Chicken Bake is quick, affordable, and super easy to prepare on a busy schedule. The best part is that you don’t even have to pre-cook the chicken! Serve this meal with a bagged salad and a crusty loaf of bread, and you’ll have a healthy, homemade dinner on the table in no time!

  1. I made this dish last night. I added 1/2 yellow onion diced small and 2 stalks celery also diced which added a bit of crunch to this dish. I was great. I can see using this a a left over casserole possibly with turkey at thanksgiving this year (cooked shorter time as turkey will already be done)
