4 Healthy Snacking Tips - Dates with almond butter

As we continue to help flatten the curve of the coronavirus spread, many companies are allowing employees to work from home (WFH). We want to come out of this challenging time in good health — physically fit and confident! Unfortunately, working from home presents added temptations.

Below are 5 Healthy Snacking Tips that just may be what the doctor ordered.

  1. Set a window of time for eating. And stick to it!
  2. Walk away from your desk and take a proper break for lunch.
  3. Stock your kitchen and pantry with wholesome foods. Store unhealthy snacks somewhere you cannot see them. Out of sight, out of mind!
  4. Fresh fruits and nuts make the perfect snacks! Nuts contain good monounsaturated fat that you want in your diet.
  5. Hydrate! Have a big water bottle nearby at all times.

Ingredients
  • 8 Medjool dates
  • 4 - 6 tbsp almond butter depending how much you can fit in the date
  • 2 tbsp crushed pistachios
  • flaked sea salt to top
Recipe Instructions
  1. Use a knife and make a cut down one side of your date lengthwise. Then use your fingers to gently pull out the pit.
  2. Take a spoon of almond butter and add it to the center of the date, where you just removed the pit.
  3. Top with pistachios and sea salt.
Recipe Notes

Since Medjool dates are large and soft, they are ideal for stuffing. You can also use regular dates, but they’ll be a bit more challenging to stuff with your almond butter, and may not be quite as tasty.
