5 Easy Ways to Prepare Chicken
It can be intimidating to find a good recipe for chicken that doesn’t seem over the top, but preparing and cooking chicken is easy. We’re sharing 5 easy ways to prepare and cook chicken that will leave you plenty of wiggle room for creativity.
1. Grilled Pesto Chicken. If you love pesto and chicken and never thought to put the two of them together, then you’re missing out. Take a break from the stove and the oven and get outside. Heat up your grill, and then prepare your chicken: toss the chicken pieces in a bowl with pesto and then place on the grill. You can serve this however you want: with a side of grilled tomatoes, or with a light summer salad.
2. Sautéed Italian Chicken. Take two chicken breasts and place it them in a bowl. Toss them with olive oil and your favorite Italian spices (we love rosemary, oregano, and a bit of crushed red pepper flakes), along with a pinch of salt and black pepper. Heat up a nonstick skillet with about a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Once it’s hot, add the chicken. Serve with your favorite steamed summer vegetables.
3. Baked Coconut Chicken. Oh, coconut chicken. We have heard loads about how amazing this stuff is, and by baking it, you’re saving yourself tons of calories from avoiding the deep fryer. Serve this with baked sweet potato fries and homemade ketchup, or wrap them up in a whole wheat tortilla with your favorite salad greens.
