You may have heard that Americans eat too much salt on a daily basis.  And, if fact we do.  On average, Americans eat 3,400 MG of sodium daily — a much larger amount than the recommended 2,300 MG per day (and less — 1,500 MG — if you’re 50 or older, have high blood pressure, diabetes or kidney disease).
