In her ongoing video series, Renown’s Wendy Damonte is joined by area residents and athletes. Here, they’ll be making the trek along the Tahoe-Pyramid Bikeway.
It’s one of the most scenic, breathtaking trails in the area. The Tahoe-Pyramid Bikeway is also one of the most challenging, winding for miles between downtown Truckee and downtown Reno.
Wendy Damonte, Renown’s Vice President of Advocacy and Community Partnership, didn’t do it alone. She joined up with other Renown leaders and a group of Reno-Tahoe visitors and residents to bike the trail as part of her Exercise is Medicine series. She also got a sneak peek at a portion of the trail that is currently under construction.
Tahoe-Pyramid Bikeway: Athletes Tell All
This video shows literal birds-eye-views of the bike trail. Additionally, you’ll learn more about it from Janet Phillips, President of the Tahoe-Pyramid Bikeway’s association. There are also some great insights between pedals from three athletes: cyclists Andy Schleck and Levi Leipheimer, and speed skier Franz Weber.
