Renown Children’s Hospital has several professional childbirth educators who help promote safe and positive personalized birth experiences and provide support for families. According to Chris Marlo, a childbirth educator for more than 22 years, education and communication encourages discussion between families and caregivers to ensure optimal pregnancy, childbirth and parenting experience. “There are several benefits to taking a childbirth education class including meeting with an educator, bonding with other parents and learning about options when it comes to childbirth,” Marlo says.
