Rafael Salmela was born two months premature and was cared for in the Neonatal ICU for two months. At four months old, he returned to the hospital with breathing problems to the point where he needed a breathing tube and specialized treatment under the guidance of Dr. Sonia Budhecha in Children’s Specialty Care.

Rafael is now free of his breathing tube and making big strides at home and in school.
