What are Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH)?

CMNH is a nonprofit that started in 1983. There are 170 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across the United States and Canada, including Renown Children’s Hospital right here in Reno.

How do CMNH fundraisers help hospitals like Renown Children’s Hospital?

CMNH is committed to educating residents and raising awareness of the great care available to kids in their own community. CMNH does this by hosting fundraisers throughout the year with generous retailers like Costco, Dairy Queen, IHOP, Walmart and many more. CMNH ensures all funds stay local; here are just a few examples of fundraising methods:

How much money has CMNH raised over the years?

Nationally, CMNH has raised more than $5 billion — most of which is raised $1 at a time. In northern Nevada, CMNH works with more than 40 local businesses, community organizations and local donors to raise money for equipment and facility improvements for northern Nevada’s youngest patients. Locally, CMNH has raised more than $12 million to benefit Renown Children’s Hospital since 1985.

What equipment does Renown Children’s Hospital purchase with these funds?

With each fundraiser, Renown Children’s Hospital takes a look at the items that are needed most to care for our youngest patients. The needs range greatly: from isolette beds and family chairs for parents in the NICU to portable ultrasound machines and hand-held devices to help place IVs more easily in young children.

Helping northern Nevada’s Children Miracle Network Hospital, Renown Children’s Hospital, is easy — and honestly, it’s pretty fun, too.

Miracle Treat Day – August 2

Coming up on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018, all you have to do to support Renown Children’s Hospital is head over to Dairy Queen (locations below) and grab a Blizzard. Throughout the day, $1 or more from every Blizzard sold will be donated to Renown Children’s Hospital. Since 1988, local Dairy Queens have helped raise more than $263,000 for Renown Children’s Hospital.

Renown Children’s Hospital

Renown Children’s Hospital is the only dedicated children’s hospital in northern Nevada, and offers a variety of programs and services designed specifically to care for the community’s families. It has the region’s only Children’s ER and Pediatric ICU. Renown Children’s Hospital is the only hospital affiliated with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH) in the region and local CMN Hospitals’ programs and events directly benefit children in the Truckee Meadows.
