Renown + Stanford Health Care

Building the Healthcare Network of the Future

As our community’s independent, locally governed, not-for-profit health system, we are working diligently to build the healthcare network our region needs and establish the future of health we all deserve. We are proud to have Stanford Health Care, Stanford Children’s Health and Stanford University School of Medicine as partners to help us address our community’s needs. As one of the leading academic medical centers in the nation, these partners possess the expertise, the breadth and depth of services, and a forward-thinking approach that will allow Renown to expand our own capacity to care for as many patients in our community as possible, while also filling gaps in specialty and subspecialty services.

After looking at many options, we chose Stanford Medicine to help us address our community’s needs. As one of the leading academic medical centers in the nation, Stanford Medicine possesses the expertise, the breadth and depth of services, and a forward-thinking approach that will allow Renown to expand our own capacity to care for as many patients in our community as possible, while also filling gaps in specialty and subspecialty services.

Partnering to Expand Care Capabilities

In 2016, we embarked on a partnership that includes Stanford Health Care, Stanford Children’s Health and Stanford University School of Medicine:

  • Patients and their families have greater access to a broad range of specialized medical services along with comprehensive care coordination and opportunities to access clinical trials.
  • Hometown Health members gain access to Stanford Medicine — one of the nation’s leading academic medical centers.
  • Expanded telemedicine specialties allow even more families to receive care without leaving their home communities.
  • Academic affiliations increase the number of physician specialists providing care in northern Nevada.
