Flu and pneumonia vaccines have been proven to benefit all populations, and are especially beneficial for seniors. Studies have found that by combining these vaccines, the immune systems of elderly patients become stronger and are better able to combat these illness and reduce flu-related health risks.

Because our immune systems weaken as we age, the flu and pneumonia can have devastating effects on the senior population. Dennis Rochier, MD, MHA, Chief Medical Officer at Renown Health, explains the benefits for those over the age of 65 who receive both an annual flu shot and a pneumonia vaccine.

Flu and pneumonia vaccines are available to the public through mid-December. Check out our vaccination schedule to find a time and location convenient for you and your loved ones.
